Pharmaloop features
Our features
The Pharmaloop system is based on four pillars:
Sustainability
The environmental impact of our activities is considered through the whole product development, from the materials and maintenance to the end of life. As a brand, Pharmaloop has as mission delivering sustainable pharmacy solutions and reducing waste.
Safety
The safety of medicine delivered is a great concern for Pharmaloop. By having temperature stickers and evidence seals, we can be sure that the medicine dispensed and returned is safe to be consumed. Customer data is also treated with great care to ensure safety in all aspects of the user experience.
User experience
The user experience is prime at Pharmaloop, which is seen in the design of the dispenser aimed at easy use and on the safety features provided. User support is also readily available to assist in any difficulties.
Support
To aid both the users and the pharmacies, Pharmaloop dispensers are equipped with intructions that are simple to follow, which can also be found online if needed. Emergency customer contact is also readily available for any situations where help is needed, together with available contact forms.

Maintenance
Pharmaloop presents itself as a company that wants to reduce medical waste and therefore as a sustainable company. The dispenser's design and the company's organization should help make maintenance easy and quick. For this, a few aspects of the design should be highlighted: reliability, maintainability, and supportability.

-
Reliability: The machine should function as intended for many cycles until it finally breaks down, as this would mean that the client cannot take their medication. The dispenser has a simple mechanism for rotation, using only two gears to minimize the moving parts which break more easily. The material chosen for the housing is ABS which is assumed to withhold falls from average tables(80cm heights). Furthermore, the desired running time low by checking (and if needed maintaining) the dispensers after every use. This means that in terms of reliability, the dispenser should not break down in 28 movements of the wheel, meaning the maximum amount of dispensed medication.

-
Maintainability: To make the maintenance as easy as possible, the number of actions to repair the dispenser to its original state should be minimized. This is done by creating access to the screen by unscrewing only 4 screws. Replacing the screen is done with the use of soldering and a screwdriver. When replacing the screen, the wires from the sensor, battery and USB have to be reattached. To access the working mechanism, another supporting plate would have to be removed to prevent clients from accessing the insides.

-
Supportability: To create a maintenance system with high supportability it is important that there are enough replacement parts which are located at one central point. Pharmaloop will have a central warehouse nearby where dispensers and replacement parts are in stock and maintenance can be done. More warehouses will be placed if Pharmaloop will expand and operate in different areas. The design of the dispenser incorporates only standard screws to make sure no special tools are needed and to reduce cost.

End-of-life of dispensers
Pharmaloop aims to reuse, repair, reburbish, remanufacture, retrieve and recycle our products at the end of their life.
This is acomplished by the approach to optimize the reuse of our physical product is by allowing product cycle between customers. If the client wishes to discontinue their use of our products, they end the lease contract and return the products to us. This makes the dispenser reusable among clients.
Our products are manufactured for long term use, with durable materials and a housing that completely covers all the moving parts and electronics, as well as easy to disassemble construction, using screws and nonpermanent joins that can be taken apart for maintenance or replacements.
Aside from planning for all stages of circularity, we aim to reduce our burden on the environment by using recycled materials, and by lessening the amount of unused medicine ending up in nature, which is Pharmaloop's main goal.
